MT Horeb K-5 PTO Meeting Minutes
March 17th, 2015 6:00
Attendees: Leah, Tracy, Darren, Andrea, Melissa, Mickey
Darren established a new spreadsheet to use for our budget. We are also going to run the book by using a fiscal year. July 1 – June 30. A new event fundraiser worksheet was created to track each event fund easier.
Bank Balance: $6612.75
Debt Account: $306, minimum balance will be established of $500.00
RAT Request: $295.20
Goal: $3000, Profit for Month: $202.45. Profit-to-date: $1392.59
Goal: $1000, Profit for Month: $45.80. Profit-to-date: $317.35
School Board Issues
Facility Use fees might change. This would affect the PTO.
Silent Auction & Bunny Hop Profit: $2233. Great turn out.
Fun Run. Scheduled for Sept 19th. 10:00-11:30 (tentative) Students are creating artwork for the run. We are in need of parent volunteers.
Midland Catalog Event – Flyers went out. We will probably not do a catalog event next year.
Science Night – We will provide good and possible parent volunteers. Scheduled for May 20th. IC Students only.
Insurance Claim – We have filed a claim with the insurance company on the missing funds.
Jamberry Nails – Possible fundraiser for next year.

The purpose of the Mt. Horeb K-5 PTO is to advocate for children, teachers, parents, and schools. We strive to create a closer working relationship between home and school and to enhance communication among parents, teachers, and community members.
The PTO is dedicated to enriching Mt. Horeb school children’s educational experience. The PTO is your organization. Your participation is valuable and indispensable! Please help at any level that your schedule allows. Volunteers are needed to design and implement PTO programs and projects and to help coordinate existing activities. Please share your time and talents! We thank you for your past support, and ask you for your continued involvement in these wonderful programs.
Formed in the fall of 1989 this organization is open to all parents of elementary children as well as elementary teachers and community members.
