Standing Agenda Items:
Budget- We did not make as much as expected last year with our events. Our funds will be more humble this year for the teachers. Jenn will have a final budget ready in the next few weeks.
Fund requests- Too many late fund requests made last year. Need to remind teachers of May 15th deadline.
Market Day- September 10th delivery. 5:00-6:00 IC cafeteria
Coffee- Still waiting for this to get completed. Hope was to get orders for this month. Mickey and Jenn will be working on this. Goal would be for system to be live by drop-in night next week.
School board issues- None known at this time.
website- All forms are updated on site. Working on coffee.
August 12th registration- Tracy and Leah participated at PTO table. 15-20 people interested in volunteer forms. Tracy made 3/4 foot red banners to promote the PTO. Look awsome! Can use for events, contact Tracy for banner.
Fall Catalog fundraiser: boxes to be delivered to school 1st week of September. Event will run from September 5th-19th. Orders due September 19th. Delivery will be at November 5th Market Day delivery.
Non-profit process- received contact info for assitance to see what is needed for non-profit appication. Andrea will look into this and update everyone at next PTO meeting.
4-K program- is the PTO going to get involved with this group of parents and kids. Think of this, and we will dicuss at next meeting.
5-K run/fun run: it was presented at the meeting an interest in conducting a "run" for an event that the PTO would host. This would replace an existing event that we currently hold. In Spring the DECA group hosts a run (not sure if they plan to do again this year), We would host our run in either September or October. Instead of a catolog event we would present the "run" instead. I do know of an interest within parent groups that would love this.
Volunteer form due date: Friday, September 12th.
IF coffee is up and running next week.... Saturday, August 30th will be coffee order due date.

The purpose of the Mt. Horeb K-5 PTO is to advocate for children, teachers, parents, and schools. We strive to create a closer working relationship between home and school and to enhance communication among parents, teachers, and community members.
The PTO is dedicated to enriching Mt. Horeb school children’s educational experience. The PTO is your organization. Your participation is valuable and indispensable! Please help at any level that your schedule allows. Volunteers are needed to design and implement PTO programs and projects and to help coordinate existing activities. Please share your time and talents! We thank you for your past support, and ask you for your continued involvement in these wonderful programs.
Formed in the fall of 1989 this organization is open to all parents of elementary children as well as elementary teachers and community members.
